Anyone buying for client projects: interior designers and decorators, architects, contractors, builders and remodelers, purchasing agents and specifiers, home stagers and set designers, property managers, realtors, and institutional buyers.
Hotel, resort, restaurant and commercial work is quoted per job through our Hospitality Program instead.
How to apply
- Fill in the form at the bottom of this page with the email you want trade pricing attached to. It takes about two minutes.
- We review it, usually within one business day. A link to your business website or professional profile is what we check.
- Sign in at moose.lighting/account with that same address. The application creates your account for you, and once it is approved the pricing is simply there.
A link to your business website or professional social profile is the fastest verification and is almost always enough. We are confirming you are a working professional, not running a background check.
How the pricing works
There is no code to remember. Once your account is approved, your discount is attached to it. Sign in, build your cart at the prices shown, and the trade discount comes off automatically at checkout.
The site always shows regular prices, logged in or not. So the price you browse is list, and the price you pay is list minus your tier. A $1,044 pendant is $887.40 at 15%.
That is deliberate. Our supplier agreements govern the price we display, and taking the discount at checkout is what keeps us inside them. It is the reason we can offer trade pricing at all.
It only works while you are signed in to the approved account. It will not apply as a guest or under a different email. If you check out signed out by mistake, email us the order number the same day and we will refund the difference rather than have you re-order.
For anything beyond a handful of fixtures, let us quote it. Build the cart, then use Ask the trade desk to quote this on the cart page. It sends us the whole list, prefilled, and you can add anything that is not in the cart before it goes. Emailing trade@moose.lighting works just as well. Either way you get pricing and lead times in a document you can put in front of your client.
If what you need is a schedule rather than a quote, the client spec sheet on the cart page prints your cart at manufacturer list prices, with no trade discount anywhere on it, ready to go into a client package as it is.
Moving up to Silver
We total your last 12 months of orders once a month. Cross $10,000 and we move you to Silver, which takes your discount to 20%. You do not need to ask, and you do not need to do anything differently at checkout. If your rolling 12-month total later falls back below $10,000, you return to the 15% tier.
The fine print
- Full-priced products only. Items on promotion are excluded while the promotion runs and rejoin when it ends.
- Clearance is excluded. Those prices are already cut well past the trade rate, so clearance is the better deal on those items anyway.
- $150 minimum order.
- Not combinable with other discounts or promotions.
- Order storage applies to orders paid in full. Tick the box on the cart page before you check out, or email us the order number afterwards. Up to 90 days, and we will check in before the clock runs out.
- Order consolidation is by request. Put the same project name on each order, email us the order numbers, and we will ship them together.
- Returns are within 30 days, with no restocking fee. Return freight is the customer's cost except on a defect, transit damage or a wrong item, where it is ours.
- Our public price match guarantee does not apply to trade orders. Send us the competing quote and we will price the project directly instead.
- Trade pricing is for client projects or resale. It is tied to your account and is not transferable.
- We can suspend an account that is used outside the program.
